NO GRIT NO PEARL
No grit no pearl is the expression that refers to the fact that nothing beautiful or worth doing in life is possible without putting in hard work ladies and gentlemen. I love this, plus my bag in this shoot is made with faux pearls so I thought it was fitting ;)! This outfit is undeniably so much fun, I had to make a blog post about it because I was getting so many questions. It’s honestly one of those looks I threw together the morning of and thought it looked good, that’s how the best outfits are created. One of my favorite things in life are mixing textures, as a fashion designer I am heavily influenced by touch and feel of fabrics, and I love how different textures play off one another to create dimension. In this look I paired a rhinestone and velvet textured turtleneck from H&M (one of my favs) with this super fun and girly pink ruffled tulle midi skirt from Goodnight Macaroon, which I’ve linked bellow! It needed a belt so hens the GG belt of course, and this cool faux leather moto jacket from Zara. I threw in the pearl bag from Beehive Fort Worth, pearl earrings from H&M and metallic cowboy booties from Sam Edelman for fun accessories that pop!! This outfit is particularly inspiring because it’s mixes a fun, girly feel with a touch of masculinity; once I included the moto jacket, and that’s really why this outfits works so great. Not too girly, a little masculine, and sooo not boring, it’s just right!
