MINIMALISTIC CHIC

When I think of myself, minimalism is the last thing that comes to mind, but on occasion it feels good to only throw on one piece and call it a day. Though, minimalism looks can sometimes be hard to achieve without looking boring or copies of someone else, but if done the right way, they can be totally chic and grab all the RIGHT kinds of attention in the room.
In the look I feature bellow I’m wearing nothing but a blazer. In achieving the minimal look, it is sometime a good idea to take a garment made for one thing, and use it in another way. This is called FASHION, being able to be creative and make your own design choices for yourself. For me, this is so much fun, but I realize for most people this is daunting, which is why I can help. Some examples of this include, wearing a scarf as a top, turning a top into a skirt, wearing a dress as a tunic and adding pants, or wearing a jacket as a dress as I did in these photos. It’s important to note this was an over sized blazer, if it was a natural fitting blazer, it never would of worked as it did. This also was a double breasted heavier blazer I found at H&M which works beautifully as it’s original intended purpose, a jacket, paired with a turtleneck and bell bottoms for example. This is great because I get double the use and money’s worth out of one piece which allows me to spend more money on an item than one with less usage!
I paired it with Stuart Weitzman Tieland over the knee boots and a cute hat from Nordstrom B.P., this is it! Your done in under 30 seconds and look like a million bucks, or maybe a thousand bucks lol! This look in particular is sexier than what I normally would wear on the streets, for me this may be more of a cocktail hour, date night, or if I ditched the hat and added a statement necklace could be a great going out look!
